Blue Modern Farm House Kitchen

This project was conceived to transform the kitchen into a warm and functional space, where rustic tradition blends seamlessly with contemporary comfort. The goal is to elevate both the culinary and social experience, making the kitchen the true heart of the home.

Layout & Structural Enhancements

The original kitchen felt impractical and visually closed off. To open the space, a U-shaped layout was designed to maximize work surfaces and create a natural flow between preparation, cooking, and storage areas. Integration with the dining room and large garden-facing windows allows natural light to flood the space, reinforcing a sense of openness and connection to nature.

Central Island & Functionality

The central island becomes the focal point of the kitchen, equipped with a sink, open shelving, and space for casual breakfasts. Decorated with natural elements such as a fruit bowl and plants, it adds a homely and practical touch. Its design invites both food preparation and social interaction, serving as a true family gathering spot.

Materials & Finishes

Light-toned cabinetry with glass-front doors brings brightness and visual lightness, while wood details evoke the rustic essence of the farmhouse style. The vertical-patterned tile backsplash introduces texture and dynamism, contrasting with the blue-and-white checkered porcelain floor, which adds character and personality.

Appliances & Technology

The kitchen incorporates stainless steel appliances, a double-door refrigerator, built-in oven, and extractor hood ensuring efficiency and durability. These modern elements harmonize with the rustic design, achieving a balance between tradition and contemporary functionality.

Lighting & Atmosphere

Lighting includes pendant lamps above the island and cooking area, adding warmth and a vintage touch. These layers of light create a cozy atmosphere and highlight the finishes, while natural light from the large windows connects the kitchen to the outdoors, reinforcing a fresh and open ambiance.

Customized Storage

Upper cabinets with glass doors showcase dishware and accessories, while closed cabinetry keeps everything organized. The combination of open and closed shelving offers versatility, allowing decorative pieces to be displayed without sacrificing functionality.
